The Blue Hour is the period after the sunset when the nature is colored in blue. The camera register this clearly.

In the twilight, using our eyes, we don’t experience the same amount of blue.

Now, on March 21, we are waiting for the spring.

But, this is what we are seeing:

Let’s see if we can find anything interesting in the snow.

Maybe a snowlizard.

Can you see the eye and the nose?

Not all are white.

Oh, so greeen!

Yesterday the whole lake had open water.

It was several degrees below zero.

Yesterday evening the lake started to freeze-up.

During the night it snowed.

Today it’s thew.

Melted snow forms a mosaic pattern all over the lake.

Let’s say goodbye to the lake.

The Åsunden lake lies by the city Ulricehamn, between the cities Borås and Jönköping.

It is a wonderful winter day.

When it’s this cold the sea is smoking.

If this cold continues the sea will freeze-up.

At this distance it looks like the smoke rises up to the heaven forming a big cloud.

On my way home I passed this snow-coated branch.

May 18-27 I visited friends in the north of Norway, in the little community Lakselv.

I flew from Oslo to Alta. From ALta to Lakselv I went by car. Here you will see some pictures from this car trip.

Here is the route.

The first thing I recognized when leaving the plane was the high mountains. Here you see the airport in Alta whith the mountains in the background.

The car journey took me high up in the mountains. This mountain landscape is called Sennalandet. Although it’s middle of May the snow is still laying.

It was a peculiar feeling to come from the spring in Stenungsund at the west coast of Sweden directly into the winter.

The last part of the journey went along the Porsanger fjord. Here is a view of the fjord.

Tomorrow we will investigate the surroundings of the city of Lakselv.

The castle is beautiful.

Closeup on the facing stone.

Isn’t it beautiful?

This happens when the ice sinks down over a stone.

Rhododendron.

Waiting for the spring.

A lovely winter day.

The Tjörn Bridges seen from Strandkärr, near Stora Höga.

Another angle.
Below Valeberget at Stora Höga.

New ice near the seashore.

Here we see a part of The Tjörn Bridge.

Sure it looks like a sitting frog.

This looks dramatic. But it isn’t. The camera doesn’t manage to rightly render a picture taken toward the sun. But the picture is exiting.

Now, we turn our eyes toward the Marstrand Castle.
Don’t be fooled.
The telephoto lens makes objects far away appear much closer than in reality.
These pictures is taken from Strandkärr, near Stora Höga.
And, don’t forget to notice the seagulls on the picture.

Now, we will inspect the bridge.

Do you want to follow us out on the bridge?
I don’t promise you will see anything interesting out there.
Please scroll to the right.

Oops! There happened to be some posts in front of the bridge.
