This is the fotographic climax of the journey. That’s why here’s a lot of photos to see.
We start by telling where Stabbursdalen National Park is located.
Soon the adventure will begin. Our target is Stabbursfossen, a waterfall.
After a while we reach the river Stabburselva.
Here we have to pass on a suspension bridge. The dog Laika is scared to pass.
A lot of things will happen before we reach the waterfall.
Look, an eagle!
Niko likes to cool down the stomach on the snowdrift.
Now, we get a view of the landscape.
It’s rewarding to not only turn our heads to the side. Things are interesting beside our feets also.
As you see, the ground of the hill is covered with gravel. Is anything growing here?
Here’s a surprise.
The other side of the hill gives us this sight.
We walk on.
Here, up on the mountain the birch trees have a hard life. Today it’s calm, but as we understand the wind is able to blow.
If you are a little one maybe you aren’t able to raise up.
There is a lot beautiful to see.
Here in Stabbursdalen an unique pine forest grow. It’s unique because it’s the northerly outpost for many bird species.
I just had to take a photo of this pine.
Such a peculiar branch.
And now, at last.
We reach our target. Stabbursfossen.
This is the first sight.
Now we want to stay here and really look at the water.

We hardly dare to be here.
This picture is taken from above the waterfall. We see the place where the water rush down. (Don’t worry, we are on a secure distance)
Oh yes, know we are satisfied. We have really seen the fall.
We rest and eat.
Meanwhile, we point out the spring is here.
Now it’s time to turn back.
But we are not tired yet.
Not until we reach the car.
Really this was a long walk. 10 kilometers.
It’s obvious.
The dogs have been full of energy all the way. But know, even they want to rest.
And, what an adventure!
We will remember this a long time.
