Today we will take a car ride along the east seashore of the Porsanger Fjord.

Before, in the morning, I went down to the river bank to view the spring flood.

Look, the water level is high!

I will show you our route on the map.

Here is our route in detail.

Now, we are eager to leave.

This was the first thing that happened along the road.

Not an unusual sight in this region.

The reindeers are walking loose in the terrain. Therefore they sometimes dwell on the roads. But in most cases you see them. Their fur is white.

Suddenly we discover a waterfall.

We stop the car. I take many photos.

This photo was the best. exposure time is 1/25 second. Evidently a fine time to bring about motion in the water.

Two oyster-catchers on a stone.

Next sight.

Roddenes nature reserve.

Here is a lot of dolomite gravel which have formed itself into terraces along the seashore.

The gravel of the reserve.

We reach the village of Börselv.

Here the river Börselva meets the sea.

Here we turn left and continue along the coast on a smaller road.

Next surprise.

suddenly the mountains change color.

We have reached the zone of dolomite mountains which streaches itself across the fjord.

The dolomite seems to be porous since it has collapsed.

The village Mårnes lies beautiful by the sea.

The houses are beautiful to.

Same houses from the other side.

We can’t loose sight of those houses.

From another angle.

Further on we pass this farm.

The lonely barn.

Now, we are satisfied.

We turn the car and head for home.

We can see we are home again in Lakselv.

Surely this was an adventure.

One of many during my stay here up in the far north.
