I and Rolf visited Gothenburg Botanical Garden today.

We wanted to see the Dove tree (davidia involucrata var. vilmoriniana)

When we arrived it stood in full bloom.

In swedish this tree is called Handkerchief tree. It’s a good name because it looks like handkerchiefs hangs down from the branches.

This larch tree has recently got new cones.

Larix leptólepis x gmelínii v. japónica

We saw many beautiful rhododendron.

In the greenhouse we saw these fine orchids.

Zygopetalum crinitum.

Phragmipedium longifolium x sargentum.

Dendrobium xanthocentrum.

We are very satisfied with our visit.
