The camera aperture is 5.

This makes the flower sharp and the background blurred.

The stem and the leaves nearly disappear.

In latin: Aquilegia vulgaris.

This is the last post from Gothenburg Botanical Garden.

It ended up with ten posts.

This is in my opinion the best pictures from the visit.

We arrived just in time.

The Dahlias was in full bloom.

There are so many variants.

It rained just before we arrived to the garden.

That was good, because the pictures became more interesting.

The name of this thistle is Sea Holly. (eryngium maritimum)

What is this?

Are the Wood Anemones still blooming.

In the beginning of July?

No, this is a relative of the Wood Anemone. Anemone rivularis.

It’s higher and the flowers are bigger.

Fascinating plants.

They catch and eat insects.

If I were an insect I would be careful not to fall into this cup.

Sarrancenia purpurea.

Here we have Venus Flytrap – Dionaea muscipula.

The insect climbs in between the barbs.

And bang! The trap slams.

I and Rolf visited Gothenburg Botanical Garden today.

We wanted to see the Dove tree (davidia involucrata var. vilmoriniana)

When we arrived it stood in full bloom.

In swedish this tree is called Handkerchief tree. It’s a good name because it looks like handkerchiefs hangs down from the branches.

This larch tree has recently got new cones.

Larix leptólepis x gmelínii v. japónica

We saw many beautiful rhododendron.

In the greenhouse we saw these fine orchids.

Zygopetalum crinitum.

Phragmipedium longifolium x sargentum.

Dendrobium xanthocentrum.

We are very satisfied with our visit.
