May 18-27 I visited friends in the north of Norway, in the little community Lakselv.
I flew from Oslo to Alta. From ALta to Lakselv I went by car. Here you will see some pictures from this car trip.

The first thing I recognized when leaving the plane was the high mountains. Here you see the airport in Alta whith the mountains in the background.
The car journey took me high up in the mountains. This mountain landscape is called Sennalandet. Although it’s middle of May the snow is still laying.
It was a peculiar feeling to come from the spring in Stenungsund at the west coast of Sweden directly into the winter.
The last part of the journey went along the Porsanger fjord. Here is a view of the fjord.
Tomorrow we will investigate the surroundings of the city of Lakselv.
